Hello, SSRL members and affiliated. Today we are sharing three videos from two presentations at AERA in 2016. The first is one by Dr. Phil Winne, who spoke on issues of validity to an audience who was soon to encounter various posters, so as to encourage the audience to investigate the posters with a more critical eye in regards to validity. The second presentation is by Dr. Michael Middleton, who spoke on utilizing a situated approach in research in order to avoid replicating the inequities (along racial and socioeconomic lines) in our society in our research, by taking account of the context surrounding such issues as achievement gaps. I hope you will give some of your time to watch the presentations.
