For MLK Day: Dr. McKeachie Lecture including reading of Langston Hughes poem

In reflection of the coming birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in this post is a link to a Dr. McKeachie lecture from the 1960’s, and particularly one specific part of it, at 41:02, where he leads into a reading of Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes’ piece “Theme for English B”. In addition, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. himself lectured there as well a year after (accessible at https://youtu.be/ny6qP0rb_Ag ). Please remember on this holiday that self-regulated learning constitutes learner and teacher taking on each other’s roles in turn, for the betterment of all *including* the disenfranchised and downtrodden, and what the privileged can learn from them, together as one.
