Today we will have a re-posting of an article from a few years ago, by Dr. Linda Bol, in which she recounted the early years of the SIG SSRL (before it was even called that) and gave a tribute to Dr. Barry J. Zimmerman and his role in those early years and since. Written in 2011, on the occasion of Dr. Zimmerman’s retirement and 25 years of existence of the SIG, this is her piece.
