Please see this video from the recent AERA conference, of Dr. Timothy Cleary presenting a study concerning practical application of SRL to Life Science lessons, written by him, Dr. Erin Peters-Burton, and science teachers Katie Willet and Caroline Gergel. Particularly a lesson on genetic inheritance over generations of reproduction is focused on here, in which such a technique as cycling through stations on different topics while utilizing static SRL-promoting classwork is utilized. Dr. Cleary points out the unfortunate lack of high-quality reflection in much of education today, and indicates how SRL methods applied in the highlighted Life Science lessons improve college readiness.
